Job Title: Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry Band: Consultant Location: Kidderminster, Worcestershire Working Hours: 40 hours Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry to join our esteemed NHS client’s dynamic inpatient team in Kidderminster, Worcestershire. This locum position is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract, offering competitive rates. Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will deliver high-quality psychiatric care to older adult patients. Your responsibilities will include ensuring cover for the day-to-day running of the ward, chairing Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings, providing Approved Clinician (AC) cover for Mental Health Act (MHA) work, conducting thorough assessments and developing individualised treatment plans, managing complex cases and offering specialist advice, conducting ward rounds and managing ward jobs, reviewing patient cases and providing feedback, attending relevant patient meetings when necessary, collaborating with the Early Intervention Team to provide integrated care for patients with early signs of mental health issues, and engaging with local and national networks to elevate the profile of our centre and ensure all therapeutic approaches are evidence-based and effective. Please note there will be no remote working during this period.
