BI Developer – Preference for Qlikview / Qlik Sense with the MS BI Stack – Expanding Huge Data Environment REF CYCLE 576
Job Location - 2 Globe Road, Tower Works, Leeds, LS11 9QG
Qualifications - Any vendor Quals (MS preferred)
Work Hours - 9 - 5.30 (potentially some flexibility)
Salary - Ranging from Intermediate developer to senior experienced. Competitive + 3% flexible benefits + on target bonus of 5%, contributory pension.
This large European group is now looking for a BI Developer to join their growing team.
Responsibilities
1. Development of new business intelligence across all business functions through BI tools
2. Development of business intelligence in line with full BI lifecycle
3. Present technical BI to non-technical business stakeholders
4. Work closely with business stakeholders in delivering business reporting requirements
5. Ad-hoc analysis/reporting as required by Directors and Business functions
6. Support the delivery and streamlining of BAU within the team
7. Producing robust BI documentation
8. Ability to adapt & change reporting requirements to suit business needs
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage/prioritise workload
Experience Requirements
1. Experience of producing reporting and BI through Qlikview or similar BI tools
2. Ability to interpret data to provide insight and direction based on findings
3. Experience of designing data structures (dimensional/star schemas) and optimising performance
4. Able to prioritise multiple tasks and work under pressure for senior business people
5. Experience working with complex data structures
Skills
1. Effective communicator with good organisational skills
2. Advanced Microsoft office skills (Excel, Power Point, etc)
3. Experience of presenting technical information to non-technical stakeholders
Technical Experience
1. Excellent knowledge of SQL Server
2. Full BI Stack preferable (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS)
3. Ability to support the development of ETL processes
4. Strong knowledge of relational databases
5. Design and development of physical & logical data models
6. Experience and knowledge of dimensional data modelling
7. Knowledge of Kimball Methodology and data warehousing
8. Data migration skills
9. Good understanding of BI development life cycle
10. Experience with enterprise BI tools (Qlik, SAP, Microstrategy, Tableau, Other)
