Job summary The Derby Road & Pinewood Surgeries in Ipswich have a fantastic opportunity for a medical secretary to join their team on a part-time basis, for 30 hours per week. You will work across both of our sites within a busy, often demanding, but highly rewarding environment that strives for excellent patient care. You will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties for the clinical and administration teams. We are looking for a great team player, who always acts with integrity and professionalism, with excellent written skills, great attention to detail and the ability to adapt letters for clinicians. Previous medical secretarial experience would be preferred, though not essential as training can be provided. Shortlisting: Tuesday 5th November Interview Dates: 12th - 14th November Main duties of the job To provide secretarial and administrative support to the doctors, wider clinical team, and Practice Manager to ensure the administrative burden for clinicians and team members is minimised. This will require a full range of IT & secretarial skills. Excellent communication skills are required. Whilst needing to be a team player is very important, an ability to work on ones own initiative is fundamental to the post.
