Job Title: PL Inspires Mentor

Location: Turf Moor, Harry Potts Way, Burnley, BB10 4BX and various Schools across Burnley, Pendle and neighbouring areas.
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31st July 2026
Working Pattern: 35 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
Closing Date: 28th April 2025
Salary: £23,000 - £24,500 per annum
The Role
To inspire children and young people to develop personal skills and positive attitudes to succeed in life by planning and delivering the Premier League Inspires programme, and events within designated schools.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Take responsibility to inspire young people to develop personal skills and positive attitudes to succeed in life through the delivery of the Premier League Inspires programme.
* Deliver PL Inspires and other High School projects as required within assigned Schools on behalf of Burnley FC in the Community.
* Conduct meticulous planning prior to each session delivered, considering individuals’ needs and requirements.
* Deliver high-quality sessions to a diverse range of participants with varying abilities and needs, in various environments, including:
o 1-2-1 Mentoring and Wellbeing checks
o Group Interventions
o Whole School Assemblies
o Educational sessions (Literacy, Numeracy and PSHE workshops).
* Continuously evaluate the success and standards of own work and that of others through self and departmental reflection and analysis.
* Participate in monitoring and evaluation processes to report progress and impact to key funders in a timely manner, including using regular registers on the Salesforce platform and completing case studies to measure impact.
* Ensure all stakeholders are kept safe and well before, during, and after the delivery of a session.
* Understand and implement the Charity’s Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines, ensuring safe working practices and appropriate reporting of concerns.
* Work flexible hours as required by the role.
* Work towards agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and objectives.
* Comply with all Charity policies.
* Promote the Burnley FC in the Community brand and ethos in a professional and positive manner.
* Support other team members in various areas of the organization as required to promote best practice.
* Commit to equality and diversity in the workplace.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills
* Youth Worker Qualification or similar.
* Five GCSEs at grade C or above.
* Safeguarding certificate or willingness to undertake training.
* First Aid certificate or willingness to undertake training.
* Experience of working with hard-to-reach young people.
* Experience of working on youth-based projects.
* Knowledge and experience of Safeguarding young people.
* Full driving license and the use of a vehicle.
