An exciting opportunity has arisen in our anticoagulation departments at Wythenshawe and Trafford working across sites to support the clinical and nursing teams.
Job Responsibilities
1. Provide cover for reception, greeting patients and visitors, checking in patients, and managing appointments and waiting lists.
2. Follow up on DNA's on a day-to-day basis.
3. Use hospital systems to schedule appointments for patients, both in person and over the phone, and inform patients of their appointment details.
4. Answer, screen, and route incoming calls for the service, managing queries and liaising with other departments.
5. Capture patient information and input it into the electronic records (HIVE and DAWN) daily, updating records as necessary.
6. Communicate with service users in a sympathetic and empathetic manner.
7. Liaise with internal and external departments or organisations, dealing with their enquiries or referring on where required.
8. Prepare outpatient clinics, ensuring patient details are correct and any prior arranged items are in place.
9. Provide clerical support to nurses and the team lead with various duties.
10. Assist with the organisation of admin duties, such as photocopying and archiving documents.
11. Assist with staff training as instructed by the team lead.
12. Undertake all duties allocated by the team lead, including reception duties and appointment bookings.
13. Register patients on the eReferral service when necessary.
14. Cross cover colleagues to maintain service needs during leave or sickness.
15. Organise workload and manage day-to-day priorities appropriately.

Qualifications
* GSCE or equivalent
* ECDL/NVQ
Experience
* Experience of using office applications
* Proven experience of working to deadlines
* Customer care experience
* Excellent organisation and planning skills.
* Previous experience in the NHS
* Experience of working with people with disabilities
