About the role
As the Teacher of Art, you will have the opportunity to inspire and nurture creativity in pupils from Reception to Year 6. In addition to leading the Art curriculum and extra-curricular programs, you will serve as a form tutor, playing a pivotal role in the pastoral care of your students. You will be responsible for monitoring the academic and social progress of your form group, setting targets, and fostering a supportive environment that encourages personal growth. Your teaching will engage students through practical, hands-on learning experiences, empowering them to realise their artistic potential while also preparing them for future academic challenges, including scholarships for senior school entry. Furthermore, you will actively contribute to the school’s improvement planning and engage in community-building activities, creating a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere for all pupils.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a September 2025 start date.

You should possess excellent communication skills, enabling effective engagement with pupils, parents, and colleagues. A creative and innovative mindset is essential, as is a commitment to the school’s ethos and community. Your ability to motivate and guide students as a form tutor will be key to their success, and a sense of humor and teamwork will help you thrive in our dynamic environment.
