Accommodations UK is looking to appoint a hotel reservations coordinator at our busy office in Newcastle. We are a hotel and conference specialist, and our main aim is to get the best possible rates for our clients at hotels, conference, and events venues. The successful candidate will be expected to be involved in all areas of the business but mainly booking corporate hotel accommodation, conference and meeting rooms on a day-by-day basis, reporting to senior members of the team, including the director on a regular basis.
The position of Reservation coordinator will mainly involve making corporate hotel bookings/conference/exhibition reservations for corporate clients which involves sourcing a hotel/venue in the desired location, calling the hotel/venue to negotiate the best rate, sourcing comparative rates at other suitable hotels/venues and processing the booking.
As a reservations coordinator, you will respond to hotel/venue and customer enquiries with the aim of developing strong relationships and maximizing revenue opportunities. As part of the role, the successful candidate must be able to work within and set up hotel allocations and develop both the conference and exhibition departments. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
1. Manage telephone and email enquiries in a prompt and professional manner and in accordance with company standards ensuring accuracy and attention to detail at all times.
2. Identify new contacts, develop sales leads and respond to sales opportunities.
3. Produce quotations and written confirmation to all clients.
4. Monitor customer satisfaction regularly and resolve any outstanding issues to ensure future business.
5. Maintain a thorough understanding of hotel/venue locations and processes, and contribute to a culture of high quality standards for relationship building, customer service, selling techniques, and billing and processing contracts.
The candidate will need:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Previous experience in the reservations or conference function within the hotel industry is essential.
INTERESTED:
Hours are typically rotated between Monday to Friday 09.00 to 17.00 hrs / 12.00 to 20.00hrs, however, further flexibility may be required out of hours to meet the needs of the business. One hour allocation for lunch. Holidays in a full-time position are 20 working days plus all Bank Holidays and pension scheme.
