School Cleaner Location: Old Hall School – The Nest, Moxley Road, Darlaston, WS10 8SY Accountable to: Site Manager and School Business Manager Contract: Part time, (12.5 hours per week), Term-time only 3.00pm to 5.30pm Monday-Friday. Salary: £6,873.95 - £7,091.30 (actual) per annum. G2, SCP 2-4 £12.26 to £12.65 per hour. Old Hall School are looking to appoint, a reliable, flexible and practical individual. The successful candidate will support our school in providing a clean, tidy, hygienic, safe and well maintained, learning environment. General duties will include ensuring a high standard of cleanliness throughout the school and that security is maintained at all times to support and safeguard the welfare of all persons using the school premises. The successful candidate will need to be fit and able to cope with the physical demands of the job. Possess good individual and team skills and be ready to deal with a variety of situations and challenges. Our cleaning operative will need to be flexible at all times and will be required to work as and when the school requires a deeper clean during school shutdown periods. Previous experience of cleaning, safe use of chemicals and using cleaning machinery would be desirable but isn’t essential as full training will be given. Old Hall School is a specialist setting in Walsall providing education to young people at EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, all of whom have a variety of SEND complexities.
