Job Role
To assist in the provision of Highways Repairs and Maintenance within Hertfordshire. To be responsible for supply chain partners and individual work sites, to carry out all works in a safe and cost-effective manner in line with company policies, processes and procedures, to deliver a high quality service to all our customers and positively impact the local communities in which we work.
Duties
1. Personal safety and safety of all personnel under your authority and others who may be affected by the Company’s activities such as the general public.
2. Manage and monitor health, safety and environment on site, and regularly audit teams and personnel under your control.
3. Direct resources of sub-contractors and premises, in order to achieve the aims and objectives within the local business plan.
4. Ensure site measurements/valuations are recorded and costed promptly.
5. Maintain good working relationships with all staff and operatives.
6. Communicate effectively and efficiently with clients and stakeholders.
7. Ensure compliance with company policies, processes and procedures.
8. Survey works in order to select suitable treatment design and identify site specific Risk Assessments.
9. Supervise all works under your control enabling workmanship of a high standard and good productivity.
10. Deliver Tool Box Talks in line with the company’s training programme.
11. Actively foster a positive staff morale.
12. Attend and actively participate in team briefings.
13. Continually review processes and procedures to drive continuous improvement.
14. Responsible for applying people process for direct line reports.
15. Accept and carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of management.
Person Specification
1. Knowledge of Specialist Treatments would be a distinct advantage.
2. Adhere to company procedures with regard to Health & Safety and ensure all team members do likewise.
3. Behave in a way that promotes and supports the company’s stated Vision, Mission and Values and ensure all team members do likewise.
4. Be contactable outside normal working hours when required.
5. Attend emergency incidents as required.
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time - 40 - Monday to Friday
