Are you a Children's OT who has experience in ASD?
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen in a school based in London. We are looking for a Qualified Occupational Therapist in education for 3-5 days a week. A fair and manageable caseload is given, along with further training in your portfolio. The vacancy will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension.
Main Duties for the Children's Occupational Therapist include:
1. To provide a Specialist Occupational Therapy Service for children/young people who have learning disabilities ages 5-11.
2. To assess the needs of disabled children/young people.
3. To provide a specialist response and implement intervention plans aimed at reducing the impact of disability.
4. An awareness of the importance of safeguarding vulnerable people, plus an understanding of the importance of dignity & respect when dealing with people.
To Be Successful:
1. HCPC Registered Children's Occupational Therapist.
2. Experience in Paediatric OT.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of the needs of children with Autism, and experience in this environment and commitment to safeguarding children.
4. Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you).
5. Eligibility to work in the UK.
