Job Title: Nursery Assistant
Role Overview: Due to a promotion within our team, Wrens Nursery at Wivelsfield School is looking for a Nursery Assistant to support our supervisor in delivering outstanding care and providing a safe, nurturing and happy environment for our children.
Minimum Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or a relevant equivalent qualification.
Hours: 8.30am to 3.30pm (flexibility and applications for a job share are welcome).
The successful candidate will:
1. Be an enthusiastic and excellent Early Years practitioner, who can engage children through preparing and participating in a range of play-based activities that promote each child’s physical, intellectual, and emotional needs.
2. Work with the supervisor to create an exciting and purposeful learning environment.
3. Act as a key worker, forming a close, caring relationship with their allocated children and communicating with their parents and carers.
4. Be flexible and able to work closely with other EYFS/KS1 team members and the wider school community.
5. Be keen to engage in continuing professional development.
