Key responsibilities
The Crew Operator role is critical for the overall success of our UK operations, ensuring appropriately qualified seafarers are deployed to maintain full operational capability.
You will be responsible for the day to day crewing coordination with the local port teams. You will support the Crewing Manager and liaise with the Talent Partner to maintain a clear manpower and recruitment plan for current and future crewing requirements. You will also work closely with the training department to align succession planning and talent management alongside the local manpower plan.

You have in-depth knowledge and experience within your own job discipline and handle situations and assignments independently, you will seek advice and guidance on more complex issues.
Further we expect that you;
* Degree or equivalent level of qualification.
* Experience working within a crewing/HR function or a similar related discipline.
* Ability to collaborate and develop strong business relationships with people in our organisation who may have varying levels of maritime knowledge.
* Strong IT skills, including experience managing MS Outlook email and calendars, all Microsoft 365 programmes, social media and Svitzer specific internal systems.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Flexibility and adaptability to operate in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership and setting directions with minimal guidance.
* Proactive networking and establishing effective working relationships with our crews and internal stakeholders.
* Strong data management and reporting skills
* A creative problem solver with the ability to thrive in a rapidly growing and changing environment.
* Fluency in all aspects of the English language, as this is the international working language of Svitzer.
* Ability to engage well with a large range of colleagues of different qualifications and ranks.
