Description Weatherford have an excellent opportunity for a Repair & Maintenance Specialist II to join our team. This role is based in Aberdeen. In addition to the inspection, testing and qualification, repair and maintenance of field tools, the R&M Specialist role performs preventive & corrective maintenance, retrofit and upgrade to electronic, mechanic, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment, data acquisition systems, downhole tools & communication equipment. The role performs these tasks using Company guidelines, technical work instructions, test procedures, schematics, engineering notices, and best practices to complete the scope of functions where required under the direction and supervision of a senior R&M Specialist, Lead Specialist or Supervisor. Assists, performs, and may lead basic to complex troubleshooting, scheduled preventive maintenance and modifications on a wide range of electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic equipment, including data acquisition systems & downhole tools to determine the cause of failure, performs corrective actions following documented Company policies & procedures against their level of training & competence Assists, performs, and may lead testing and calibration tasks of tools following documented policies & procedures against their level of training & competence Identifies opportunities for improvement in regard to equipment, procedures, and documentation Completes Work Orders, AIRTs, PFTs, Forms, Checklists, Repair Requests and ensures all relevant databases are maintained accurately Complies with the WO labour time log by accurately clocking in/Out of WO (Work Orders) Time tracking system Orders parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogs or approved suppliers according to Weatherford’s guidelines and procedures Supports and complies with the LEAN initiatives and participates in the continuous efficiency improvement program of the facility. Estimates costs to repair machinery, equipment, or building structures Performs other duties and activities safely as assigned by supervisor within physical constraints of the job Requirements 2 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry. High School Diploma Basic Computer Skills Basic Mathematics Working with hazardous materials, radioactive elements & explosives. Awareness of NDT, NDE and ATEX policies & principles Perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, monitoring of equipment Critical thinking, active learning & listening, complex problem solving Good reading and writing skills, strong judgement and decision-making to be in line with policies & procedures Time management Quality Control Analysis to ensure product meets required standards Capable to meet the physical demands that the role required Information & task ordering & ability to identify when a problem may occur and where possible to understand solution Ability to react effectively and efficiently in operating tools and machinery Ability to imagine how tools and products will look when preparing for assembly, repair or modifications Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8 a.m. - 4.30 p.m.
