Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a dedicated part-time lottery collector to join our collector team in York and work in collaboration with St Leonard’s Hospice. A successful candidate will have:
* Excellent communication skills – Engaging with the public, explaining the charity’s cause, and encouraging participation.
* Sales or fundraising background
* Self-motivated and resilient.
* Target-driven.
* You need to be able to travel across York. Driver’s Licence is preferable, but not essential.
What will you be doing?
As a Lottery Collector, you will play a crucial role in boosting our fundraising efforts by collecting lottery ticket payments and assisting with subscription renewals. The funds raised through these efforts provide vital help to our charities and other non-profit organisations. Your remit will include visiting subscribers in local neighbourhoods, ensuring timely collection of payments, and promoting ongoing engagement with the lottery to maximise community contributions.
Hourly Rate: £11.44 per hour + commission (potential earnings up to £13 per hour)
Working pattern: 15 hours per week, flexible.
