Daniel Owen Agency are currently recruiting for PTS De-Vegetation / Rope Access Operatives to work on rail infrastructure projects in Bristol and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced individuals to join a well-established team, carrying out vegetation management and rope access work in a challenging but rewarding environment.
Job Responsibilities:
As a PTS De-Vegetation / Rope Access Operative, your duties will include but are not limited to:
Carrying out vegetation clearance, tree felling, and hedge cutting in accordance with safety regulations.
Utilising chainsaws and hedge cutters to remove overgrown vegetation affecting railway infrastructure.
Conducting rope access work to safely access difficult or hazardous areas.
Ensuring all tasks are completed in compliance with health and safety standards and environmental guidelines.
Working effectively as part of a team to deliver projects efficiently and to a high standard.
Conducting daily equipment checks and maintenance to ensure tools are safe and operational.
Adhering to all railway safety procedures, including compliance with PTS regulations.
Completing any additional tasks as required by site supervisors and project managers.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following qualifications and certifications:
CS30/CS31 - Chainsaw NPTC/Lantra Equivalent
NPTC/Lantra Equivalent - Hedgecutter
IRATA Rope Access Level 1
PTS (Personal Track Safety) Certification
Additional Information:
The role will primarily involve day shifts, but candidates must be flexible and willing to work occasional night shifts as required by the project schedule.
Local candidates are preferred due to the nature of the work and shift requirements.
Candidates must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and be physically fit due to the demanding nature of the role.
