Key Responsibilities - Planning out your delivery journey, ensuring efficiency to support the smooth running our our supply chain operation. - Supporting with the safe loading and unloading of your trailer. - Carrying out a full set of safety checks on your lorry. - Maintaining a full knowledge of the Highway code, WTD, EU Drivers Hours Regulations, the Partnership's Transport Partners handbook and the driver's training pack and adhere to them - Finding solutions to unexpected situations in the day and keep the transport office up to date with your journey, communicating any problems and delays that might occur. - Reporting any vehicle issues appropriately. - Completing supplier and Partnership documentation accurately. Essential skills/experience you'll need - A valid Manual UK LGV1 C E driving licence (with a maximum of 6 points). - A valid DCPC (Drivers Qualification Card) and valid Tachograph Card. - Previous experience driving a 44t articulated lorry Desirable skills/experience you may have - Good local/national geographical knowledge.
