Do you enjoy working with young people? Would you like to help make a difference to their lives by assisting with setting up group sessions for children and young people who have experienced loss and bereavement? This volunteer role would suit someone with good listening skills who may have experience with supporting young people, or who is studying with an interest in psychology or counselling. What you'll be doing: Working alongside the Family Support Services Counsellors, assisting the delivery of group sessions to children and young people. Support staff with practical arrangements and hosting duties for group sessions To be prepared to actively listen to children with patience and compassion Attend and participate fully in supervision as required by the organisation Attend and participate fully in team events and training as required by the organisation Able to volunteer some Saturdays and evenings Times Available: Varied session and times – Will be discussed during interview and selection. Your skills and abilities: Have a passion to work with children, have good listening skills and the ability to engage with others. May have some experience of working or supporting children and young people. Awareness and knowledge of issues around the experience of bereavement.
