Aim: To personally assist a female learner receiving EOTAS with her everyday requirements/commitmentsLocation: Romsey, SO51
Frequency: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
Duration: Permanent role Extra info: Online or remote is not an option. We require a very understanding, supportive, patient and organised SEN LSA who is able to assist this learner with day-to-day activities, scheduling/managing her time, academic engagement and travel. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting young people who have PTSD, ADD, ASD and Dyslexia plus Dyscalculia. Having experience supporting SEN learners with trauma informed practices and high functioning anxiety is equally as essential. The young person has executive functioning skills, poor information retention, literacy related vulnerabilities and can be triggered by sudden movements or unexpected sounds. She has low confidence and self-esteem but is described as being really enthusiastic, has a great working attitude and all round lovely. She doesn't trust a lot of people so the focus for the initial stages of this role should be establishing a strong foundation of trust and good rapport. She has a huge passion for horses and attends horse riding lessons weekly.
The roles daily requirements/expectations are:Hold a DBS on Update serviceHold a UK drivers licenceManaging her workload/ AP schedule
Transporting her to and from her alternative provision settings Transporting her to appointments
Organising daily meals and ensuring she eats adequately
Planning and managing weekly activities and socialising
Teaching her about organisation, communication and life skills
Managing her academics and liaising with her educators/ AP Co-Ord's
