Summary Location Llandudno, Wrexham Job Family Technicians & Engineers Job Type Full Time Posted Date 12-Sep-2024 Ref 61695 Field-based role primarily covering the North Wales region Principal Delivery Engineers play a crucial role in our business - managing the build activity ensuring it is done in accordance with Virgin Media O2 policies and processes, and driving and taking accountability for the delivery of multiple work streams from approval to build through to release, completion, and handover. Working closely with our build partners, design teams, local authorities, and other key stakeholders, you'll use your expertise and tenacity to overcome challenges, minimalizing impact to delivery, with an emphasis on cost reduction options & driving efficiencies. You'll carry out quality audits on work in progress and post build checks, ensuring quality standards and working practices are met as well as ensuring financial governance across all civils and cabling works. This role primarily covers the North Wales region, however there will occasionally be a requirement to travel further afield. Key Responsibilities Include Undertaking detailed assessments in the field to understand the impact of any risks and issues on delivery dates and premise release numbers. Providing face to face partner support, both on site and at partner office locations Carrying out health & safety audits Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, being Virgin Media O2’s representation at meetings Driving and participating in early contractor engagement, identifying risks to ensure a fluid transition into build to enable a right first time and on time delivery Who we are The UK’s fastest broadband network. The must haves In order to be considered, you must have the following experience: Experience working on Virgin Media O2 fibre network/XGS-PON PIA qualifications or willingness to obtain In depth knowledge of civils construction, cabling and installation work Conversant with NRSWA and Red Book guidelines Due to the nature of this role a full driving licence is required.
