The Client Our client is a long established and highly regarded Global Private Bank with an exciting new MPS Platform. The Role This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior charismatic individual with an entrepreneurial mindset to join a Global Private Bank to help create and pitch the new MPS platform to the IFA Market – a real growth and development opportunity at a Senior level. This is a brand-new position acting as a Senior MPS Ambassador and working closely with the Head of MPS & Head of Portfolio Management with media opportunities to showcase the platform on channels like Asset TV and Citywire, having strong communicational skills to create key investment commentary on MPS. The Senior Portfolio Manager will take responsibility for designing and Executing the Model Portfolios - Portfolio construction, implementing key Asset Allocation calls, working to group strategy and ensuring they fit the MPS solution. The Senior Portfolio Manager is to complete fund research ensuring to cover any gaps where research across the globe does not create a direct advised platform available solution. The Senior Portfolio Manager will confidentially work closely with Head of MPS and Head of Portfolio Management UK, taking responsibility for the Portfolio construction of the MPS, including Fund Selection specifically for the UK market, to develop and successfully deliver the new UK MPS business. The Senior Portfolio Manager will have stand out knowledge of global markets and a keen interest in UK IFA market with a passion for creating innovative investment solutions for this market. The Senior Portfolio Manager will be an extremely motivated self-starter that has confidence in planning, designing and contributing to a new business initiative from inception to launch and continued growth over the long term. The Senior Portfolio Manager is to work with client facing teams both in marketing and communications to help build the internal and external narrative across all stakeholder groups, as well as supporting the Head of MPS and the Business Development Managers. The Candidate Minimum 7 years of experience in UK wealth management, with a focus on managed portfolios solutions, portfolio management, Fund Research and Selection. Strong understanding of investment products, asset allocation strategies and portfolio management processes Proven experience in developing and implementing model portfolios Proven experience in fund research due diligence and fund selection processes Knowledge of fund research analytical tools and systems (e.g. Morningstar, Bloomberg, Style Research or similar) Programming skills in VBA, R, Matlab or similar an advantage but not essential Demonstratable track record of engagement with IFAs, media and trade press Strong project management and organisational skills
