Position: Supervisor/Foreman in Civils, Construction & Utilities
Department: Operations
Location: Northampton/Towcester Area
Reports to: Site Agent/Project Manager
Role Objective: To ensure the works are carried out safely and in line with quality and programme requirements. Ensure operatives are sufficiently managed, policed, and directed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work Preparation:
o Collaborate in the production of resourced programmes
o Collaborate in the production of works risk assessments/method statements
o Collaborate in the production of short term/weekly programmes to deliver the contract programme
2. Procurement:
o Plant & tools appropriate to the tasks
o Call in materials
3. Execution:
o Ensure teams work in line with RAMS
o Ensure flow of information to construction teams
o Establish and oversee teams for own works
o Oversee co-ordination of subcontract works
o Materials management/reduction of waste
o Deliver production targets
4. Commercial:
o Receive employer's instructions in accordance with project authority protocol
o Issue instructions to sub-contractors in accordance with project authority protocols
o Maintain a daily record of progress, activities, changes and events
o Identify and report any changes encountered
o Collaborate in Contract Analysis and Risk Management
o Authorise labour and plant record sheets
o Deliver cost forecast targets
5. QA:
o Oversee workmanship of own works and subcontractors’ works
6. H&S:
o Promote high safety standards
o Ensure all personnel are inducted
o Oversee compliance with site rules and deal with any non-compliance
o Co-ordinate workforce task briefings and toolbox talks
o Establish routine inspections of plant and equipment
o Appointed duties as recorded in Project IMS Plan
o Report any near misses or unsafe acts/conditions observed
7. Environment:
o Establish environmental protection measures
o Ensure all personnel are inducted
o Oversee compliance with environmental requirements and deal with any non-compliance
o Appointed duties as recorded in Project IMS Plan
o Report any environmental hazards, incidents or near misses
o Implement waste management procedures
8. HR:
o Ensure compliance with employment legislation

* CSCS

* First Aid
* Full Clean UK Driving Licence
