From Swimming lessons, to walking football and everything in-between we are driven to provide fun and welcoming sessions to support the whole community to be active, both within our leisure centres and in the local community.
Your role will be to manage the catering function within the Centre next to a extension of the current soft play facilities. you will be leading the team to ensure customers experience a professional and quality catering service. Delivering a varied menu and refreshing beverages, ensuring staff are trained and working to clear guidelines. Developing the service to meet the needs of the local community and seasonal changes will be key.
You should have relevant experience in recruiting, managing rotas, food hygiene, stock control and general catering. The people we are looking for will have the ability to manage a number of priorities at the same time; will be able to build, lead and motivate staff and have a passion for the leisure and cultural services and events. The ability to deliver on tight deadlines under pressure is absolutely essential.

Hours: 37 hours a week, Monday - Sunday (Rota basis)
*This is a temporary position of up to 12 months.
Requirements
* Strong people management skills
* Level 2 food hygiene
* At least three years in a catering role
* Experience of problem solving, customer service and staff management
* Experience of identifying staff training and development requirements and implementing development opportunities
* Experience of managing or contributing to an income target
* Experience of stock management (ordering/rotation) and building relationships with key suppliers
* An ability to lead and motivate a staff team
* Good IT skills including the ability to produce and interpret reports and data
* Team orientated approach, able to work across organisation boundaries, demonstrate interest and be supportive of the work of staff and colleagues
