An exciting opportunity has arisen at Facilities Management, Stirling Council at Allan’s Primary School for a part-time permanent janitor. The post will involve providing janitorial services on a term-time, part-time basis of 21 hours in support of the school community. Working hours for the post will be Weds, Thurs, and Fri 0730-1530 (including a 60 minutes unpaid break) paid at Stirling Council Grade 4. Personal protective equipment will be provided and training where necessary.
Applicants will need to be physically fit, as porterage and other heavy lifting forms a large part of the role, and be prepared at times to work outdoors in inclement weather. Occasional overtime working in the evenings to cover school lets may also be required. Applicants will also require a basic working knowledge of IT and be willing to undertake training to utilize Stirling Council online training and human resources IT applications.
The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children. If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be asked to complete the form and have your details verified.
