SEN HLTA- Liverpool Milk Education are working on behalf of an SEN school in Liverpool, who are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with SEN experience to join their team. The successful candidate will be confident in managing a class independently, with strong behaviour management skills, and a proactive approach to supporting the pupils’ learning. You’ll be joining an inclusive and supportive school, focused on diversity and promoting a loving academic environment for those with additional needs. This is an exciting role for an experienced educator to join a fantastic school to support pupils in reaching their potential Key Responsibilities : Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons. Take charge of the class in the absence of the teacher, ensuring smooth delivery of lessons. Implement and maintain positive behaviour management strategies. Assist with planning lessons and activities, ensuring they meet the needs of the students. Mark students’ work and provide detailed feedback to promote progress. Collaborate with the teaching team to support the academic development of all pupils. Ideal Candidate : Strong experience in managing a class and dealing with behaviour management. HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience) and a passion for supporting children. Ability to plan and mark work effectively. A confident, proactive, and flexible approach. Excellent communication skills, both with pupils and colleagues. A commitment to making a positive difference to children’s education.
