Your New Role We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Plant Operator to join our Sheffield City Council account. This role will be based on-site at Olive Grove Depot, S2 3GE. Amey has been a strong partner with Sheffield City Council since 2012, maintaining and improving an extensive city-wide highway network. We pride ourselves on supporting social initiatives and fostering a friendly, welcoming work culture. The standard hours of work are 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4pm) You will be responsible for: Driving a loading shovel, forklift truck and telehandler Helping manual sort out waste collected from Sheffield streets ahead contract including moving fridges and electrical items, removing tyres from their metal rims, removing paint from spray tins with a machine and lift oil containers into bins. Loading and offloading delivery and waste lorries. Cutting metal columns. Taking delivery of fuel. General housekeeping including litter picking and sweeping in the yard. Collection of paperwork. Helping other staff with basic maintenance throughout the yard and depot. Being an active part of a team.
