Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for the direct provision of care to patients at the Urgent Treatment Centre & Minor Injuries Units. Responsibilities encompass evaluating, requesting, and interpreting diagnostic radiographs, providing diagnoses, treatment, patient discharge, or referrals to other specialists. Dedication to upholding superior care standards is paramount. Leadership involves participating in and conducting nursing and clinical audits within the Unit, compiling and arranging essential data. Implementing local standards, policies, and procedures is crucial to ensure patient-focused, personalized, and evidence-based care for all individuals. Compliance with the professional code of conduct is mandatory. Advocacy for evidence-based, innovative care practices and aiding others in adopting modifications to improve care delivery is also a key aspect of the role.

Person Specification
Qualifications and/or professional registration
1. Has current live PIN on NMC or HCPC register
2. Minor Injury module
3. Post Registration qualification or training to masters level or equivalent and experience
4. Evidence of a range of clinical competencies appropriate for the role
5. Non-Medical Prescribing
Experience
1. Minimum 2 years experience in an autonomous practice role
2. Excellent interpersonal skills
3. Demonstrable skills in leadership
4. Experience of leading within a multiprofessional team / collaborative working
5. Ability to work autonomously and make own decisions using clinical reasoning and diagnosis
6. Evidence of active participation in audit and clinically relevant research
Other requirements
1. Ability to work in flexible way and respond positively to change
2. Ability to travel between sites, car owner/driver, with access to a vehicle for work purposes
