Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom (On-site)
Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and develop solutions, working closely with technical experts who take pride in their impactful work. Be part of a high-performing team managing complex and critical infrastructure to keep the nation's networks connected and protected 24/7.
Reporting to the Contract Manager, the Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer will collaborate with Traffic Signals specialists in Oxfordshire. Due to growth, we are expanding our Traffic team in this region.
What you’ll do:
Work alongside experienced Traffic Engineers to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and test Traffic Signals, Traffic Lights, and related electrical equipment in Oxfordshire.
Training combines on-the-job learning with opportunities to earn an NVQ in Electrical Installations and certifications such as ECS and NHSS Chapter 8.
Who you are:
Interested in electrical troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance, with some exposure to electrical work through courses or experience, such as outdoor lighting, CCTV, controllers, detection systems, or telecommunications.
Key Requirements:
* Motivated and eager to learn through practical and online training
* Experience in electrical testing, maintenance, or installation, or relevant qualifications
* Problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively and follow fault-finding procedures
* Full UK Driving Licence and residence in Oxfordshire
* Willingness to undertake Drugs & Alcohol testing for compliance
