Group HR Manager Location : Wakefield Salary: c£45,000 - £50,000 per annum bonus benefits (Negotiable - depending on experience) The company is a national Registered Building Control Approver, and they support the development of safe & inspirational buildings of the future in accordance with the Building Safety Regulations. They deliver building control solutions (including fire safety, warranty and advisory services) on over 30,000 projects a year in both domestic and commercial buildings, and are a dynamic and forward-thinking company, where people are at the heart of everything they do. Fostering a positive work culture and nurturing talent are key to success and they are now looking for an experienced and passionate HR Manager to drive and manage all aspects of human resources practices and processes. The Role The purpose of this role is: To manage the Group employee relations, HR policies, and procedures Ensure compliance with employment law. Support the business strategy by aligning HR activities with the companys goals, nurture the company culture and create an environment where employees are engaged, motivated and can thrive and perform optimally. Report to the People Director, you will lead the delivery of HR services to the whole Group, provide expert advice on employee relations, grievances, disciplinary actions, and support people development and change initiatives. You will collaborate with the Head of Training & Development to implement learning strategies, and your responsibilities will also include driving employee engagement, internal communications, reward processes, salary reviews, bonuses, and benefits. You will ensure compliance with employment law, oversee HR analytics and reporting, manage external HR services, and support recruitment and onboarding. Mentor the People Advisor and working closely with senior leaders and the Executive Management Team. Skills and Qualifications A dynamic HR Manager with 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar role Hold relevant qualifications in Human Resources or a related field. Have a strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices. Highly organised and a natural leader, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and adapt to changing priorities in a high-pressure environment. The ability to influence senior management, build strong professional relationships, while confidently handling difficult conversations. A proactive, problem-solving mindset are also key plus an empathetic and positive, team-oriented attitude.
