Fusion Resources are looking for a dedicated Production Shift Manager to oversee operations within our client's food production areas. As a Shift Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our team delivers exceptional service while adhering to all operational guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
* To ensure adherence to all Health and Safety policies adopted by OAR. To monitor and develop procedures to ensure that the Company has the appropriate focus in place to meet its statutory Health and Safety responsibilities
* To maintain excellent GMP standards at all times, delivering quality standards required of customers and external audits, for example BRC
* Ensure the smooth running of the core business by liaising professionally with department leaders to co-ordinate stock, production, picking and dispatch
* To manage and control set KPI’s - Plan attainment, Cost of Quality, Labour Cost, Training, Skills Gap, Recruitment / Retention, Downtime and Waste
* Take the lead on our food safety culture and have this at the forefront of all we do.
* Proactive day to day problem solving to ensure daily plan is met - this includes bottleneck management and team management to ensure throughputs maintained at target levels
* Proactively suggest process improvements that can improve throughputs and efficiency
* To motivate, manage, train and develop team workers and also, the interviewing, recruitment and retention of new starters
* Be a positive presence in all meetings
* To carry out the HR function of the shift, in dealing with development and staff management, which will involve RTW’s, investigations and disciplinaries.
* Ensure staffing levels are optimised and any holiday /sick cover is in place, and skills gaps are addressed.
* Support NPD and Project Teams during the development of new products or site projects
* Set a good example to all other staff in both manner and conduct.
Skills
- Proven experience in food production management.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising teams.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
Working hours
Tuesday to Saturday
6am until finish which normaly is 3pm
Salary
Starting salary of 38k up to 40k DOE
