The purpose of this role is to perform a Criminal Intelligence Analyst Role within Police Scotland's Intelligence Support function, undertaking research and analytical assessment on a wide range of data, information, and crime intelligence in support of the operational requirements of the unit, division, or department as they impact at a tactical, operational, or strategic level.
The Criminal Intelligence Analyst will provide direct analytical support to proactive and reactive investigations and policing matters. The support will be in line with agreed terms of reference as managed by the Analyst Co-ordinator and supervised by the Senior Analyst, and will be by way of intelligence development and verbal/written assessments to support strategic, investigative, and operational work.
The nature of the work will require the production and presentation of evidential material. It is likely that the analyst will be supporting a number of jobs/operations at any one time.
Working pattern for this role can be flexible and agreed with the successful candidate.
Applicants must be a British citizen, a member of the EU or other states in the EEA, a Commonwealth citizen, or a foreign national free of restrictions.
You should have been resident in the UK for a minimum of five years immediately prior to application for this role.
