Helen & Douglas House provides outstanding palliative care to children and their families throughout Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties. The Fundraising team needs to raise around £4 million from the public every year to ensure that these vital services can continue. You can play a pivotal role in making this happen!
About the job:
We have a wonderful opportunity to join our Fundraising Team as our Individual Giving & Legacies Manager.
You will have a minimum of 1 year’s experience in an individual giving, legacies or marketing role, and you will have experience managing complex projects.
This is a permanent position, ideally full-time but we would welcome a conversation around part-time / flexible hours. This is a hybrid full-time role with 2 day per week spent working in our office in Cowley, Oxford.
Your Responsibilities:
Lead on the development and delivery of the charity’s supporter acquisition and retention strategies to maximise the number of active supporters on the database and their lifetime value.
Plan, execute and evaluate individual giving fundraising campaigns to recruit and retain individual donors across a range of offline and digital channels, including direct mail, door drops, inserts, face to face, telephone, radio, email and social media.
Help to develop and deliver our new legacy marketing plan to cultivate and retain confirmed legacy supporters.
Lead, manage and inspire the Individual Giving Executive, ensuring that they are effectively trained, developed and motivated.
About you:
The successful candidate will have experience in an individual giving, legacies or marketing role, including managing campaigns across a range of digital and traditional channels, and a passion and commitment to the work and aims of Helen & Douglas House. They will be a strong communicator with excellent organisational skills and the ability to develop and prioritise their own workload, working well under pressure and to deadlines.
About the team:
You will report to the Senior Individual Giving & Legacies Manager and line manage the Individual Giving & Legacies Executive. Your team is part of the wider fundraising team of which there are 16 individuals across the various income streams. You will also work closely with our Data Insights Manager, Data Support Officer and Marketing team.
