Job summary Listening to patients experiences of our services is the first step in finding out what they think of the service they receive. NHFT secured services are continually developing and improving the care it provides. Just one of the many ways this is achieved is through co-production. The NHS Long Term Plan has been developed based on the advice and experience of clinical experts and other stakeholders, patients, and the public. Engagement has been integral at all points of the developing the Plan. Patient engagement is centred on providers and patients working together to improve health. A patient's greater engagement in healthcare contributes to improved health outcomes. This role is split across 3 sites, the post holder will be required to be able to travel between sites as part of own role. The sites that will be covered are: Yarl's Wood IRC - is an immigration removal centre with a total operational capacity of 410. Yarl's Wood holds a majority of male IRC residents, a small unit for male short term holds and a new unit for up to 50 female IRC residents. HMP Bedford - is a category B reception and resettlement prison for young adult and adult men. HMP Woodhill - in Milton Keynes, is a Cat B training prison for adult males with a small number of Cat A prisoners. Main duties of the job As the patient engagement lead you will be responsible for the improvement and stability of patient engagement activities and satisfaction through effective engagement. This role will involve you working to reduce health inequalities between patients, both in terms of access to services and health outcomes. You will develop, assess, and implement specialised programmes, healthcare forums and patient engagements events. You will provide specialist advice Prepare and present statistical reports around health promotion activities, events, and patient engagement.
