This is an exciting and unique opportunity to work alongside adults, social workers and children in care in a variety of ways! Do you have skills in working with systems, in considering models of developmental trauma, attachment and therapeutic parenting? Do you like a varied role in which you work as a team and contribute broadly across systems and organisations? We are looking for a passionate individual who loves to work creatively with children and their families and networks around them.
Main duties of the job
Supporting Suffolk's Children's Homes: The work within Suffolk County Council's Children's Homes will involve a focus on embedding a trauma and psychologically informed culture in the homes across Suffolk. The success of the pilot in 2021 has contributed to a permanent funding agreement for the Clinical Psychology role and the continued passion and support from colleagues in the homes and SCC for the post. The role involves an exciting opportunity to embed a trauma and psychologically informed culture across multi-layers of the system such as facilitating reflective practice groups, training and formulation sessions for staff and working with the management team to review and embed practice developments such as the assessment, formulation and support of young people's behavioural, emotional, safety and relational needs.
