We have an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapy to join their team of staff. This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern. Applicants should meet the following criteria: State Registered Occupational Therapist with previous postgraduate general therapy experience. State Registered Occupational Therapist. Member of the College of Occupational Therapy (COT). Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Knowledge of COT and HCPC Codes and guidelines and their implications for practice. Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Care and Quality Commission Requirements. Knowledge of Quality Assurance tools. Strong organisational and planning skills, including risk management Duties of this role include: Support the team to deliver care that helps improve the health of the individual and wider community. Demonstrate commitment to improving care and the patient experience. Provide occupational therapy assessment and treatment for relevant departments participating in these patients’ pre-admission and follow-up care as appropriate. Keep abreast of developments in occupational therapy by attending relevant courses and maintaining an up to date personal portfolio. Maintain professional standards in accordance with the HCPC and College of Occupational Therapists Code of Professional Conduct and Standards of Practice.
