Sales Account Manager
Purpose of the Position
To achieve sales targets and increase profitability of the M & E Sector through effective account management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Represent the company by developing and managing a portfolio of major/key accounts, maintaining effective relationships.
2. Initiate sales and attain the company’s sales objectives.
3. Effectively present, communicate, and negotiate with customers demonstrating good product/technical knowledge.
4. Develop positive working relationships with customers, acting as a point of contact and handling customers' individual needs, e.g., enquiries and orders.
5. Resolve disputes/queries and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner.
6. Accurately forecast projects, updating relevant systems, ensuring full knowledge and understanding of construction timescales.
7. Attend industry networking events and exhibitions.
8. Proactively deal with customer project enquiries, collaborating with internal teams to provide effective solutions that meet customer needs, resulting in obtaining sales targets.
9. Effectively manage diary ensuring a balance between administrative duties and customer-facing appointments.
10. Completion of required administrative tasks.
11. Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth.
12. Mentor new members of the team.
Specific Skill Requirements:
Essential:
1. Experience of working with M & E consultants/contractors.
2. Ability to manage a project from conception to conclusion.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office and ideally lighting software namely; Relux and/or Dialux.
4. Ability to effectively present to clients.
5. Lighting or electrical knowledge.
6. Able to close deals.
7. Full driving license.
Desirable:
1. Proficient in the application of AutoCAD.
2. Lighting control experience.
3. Geographical knowledge of M&E customer base in the region.
4. Experience in a lighting or electrical sales role.
