Join our team at Swindon Women’s Centre as a Change Team Keyworker. You will provide a range of interventions and support to women facing challenges such as homelessness, substance misuse, mental and physical illness, extreme poverty, and violence and abuse. Your role will involve offering both one-to-one practical and emotional support, as well as group interventions aimed at raising self-esteem, self-efficacy, and enhancing social and recovery capital. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with referring organisations including Voluntary, Statutory, and Criminal Justice agencies. Undertake comprehensive assessments of client needs, including health, psychological, and social needs, and assess risk as part of the process. Make contact with and support clients within mutually or contractually agreed time frames. Work collaboratively with clients to develop, implement, and review gender-responsive support plans based on individual needs, aimed at promoting personal change. Provide practical and emotional support to clients in relation to assessed and support planned needs. Case manage and keywork assigned clients as appropriate. Support clients to access appropriate agencies in relation to support plans or presenting needs. Attend multi-agency meetings where appropriate and act as an advocate for the client within prescribed protocols. Develop relationships and procedures to provide a coordinated multi-agency response in relation to client needs. Build close working relationships with other statutory and voluntary sector partners to ensure effective multi-agency working. Attend Family and/or Criminal court when necessary with clients, whether appearing as offenders or victims, and support them through the court process. Provide outreach services as necessary or as directed. Work from satellite bases across the county when necessary. Facilitate group interventions as agreed with your line manager. Contribute to the development of services and the service delivery model. Contribute to the running of the centre, ensuring it is a warm and inviting space. General Administration/Support Tasks: Utilise internal line management and supervision as provided. Ensure adherence to Nelson Trust policies and procedures regarding Health & Safety, including lone working. Attend training and development sessions as relevant and provided. Participate in the overall development of Nelson Trust Women’s Services. Perform any other duties as may be reasonably expected from you as directed by line management. Person Specification: At least 2 years’ experience of working with women with multiple complex needs (MCN). Experience of developing partnerships with local organisations. Experience of undertaking needs assessments and maintaining risk assessments. Experience of designing and delivering support plans tailored to individual needs. Experience of monitoring and data collection systems. In-depth knowledge of multiple complex needs facing vulnerable women, including domestic abuse, mental health, accommodation, substance misuse, and finance. Ability to understand, empathise, and uphold The Nelson Trust ethos, aims, principles, and policies. Ability to engage with women who may find it difficult to engage with services. Ability to prioritise and manage a caseload. Experience in crisis management and ability to cope in stressful situations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to extending professional competence, including the ability to reflect on practice. Good computer literacy and administrative skills.
