HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISOR (12 MTH FTC)

The Company
My client is a world-class leading manufacturer of specialist systems. They have both UK and international sites and pride themselves on their engineering innovation and their desire to manufacture industry-leading products.
They have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor (on a 12-month FTC) to provide support and advice to the workplace teams, vendors, and supply chain to meet the necessary legislative requirements.
The Role
Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, the Health & Safety Advisor will play an integral role in developing policies and procedures to prevent workplace hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
This will also include:
1. Conducting risk assessments and inspections with the aim of reducing risk
2. Managing internal and external audits and all related activities
3. Outlining safe operational procedures
4. Ensuring safe and compliant working practices
5. Reporting all incidents and accident statistics to management
6. Leading in-house H&S training with managers and employees
7. Documenting all inspection findings and reporting accordingly
8. Management reporting
9. Keeping up to date with any new legislation and industry developments
The Individual
The ideal Health & Safety Advisor will be NEBOSH or equivalent qualified with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role gained within a Manufacturing or Engineering environment.
You will also have:
1. A proven track record of successful Health & Safety delivery
2. Experience of any of the following: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, and ISO 45001.
3. Strong communication skills
4. A hands-on approach to Health & Safety
5. Excellent problem-solving skills
6. A focus on Continuous Improvement
The Benefits
In return, the successful Health & Safety Advisor will receive a competitive salary of up to 35,000 (dependent upon experience), plus company benefits. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a global business that has the possibility of being extended or becoming permanent.
