Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate tutor to provide 2:1 support in Primary Literacy and Numeracy Functional Skills for two pupils based in West Wycombe. This is a rewarding opportunity for a skilled educator with a trauma-informed approach and experience supporting children with PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance).
Tutoring will take place on-site on Monday and Tuesday afternoons (3 hours per day), commencing 22nd April 2025, following the Easter holidays.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and individualised 2:1 tutoring sessions in Primary Literacy and Numeracy Functional Skills
* Create lesson plans tailored to the pupils' academic levels and emotional needs
* Implement trauma-informed strategies to build trust and encourage learning
* Support learners with PDA using flexible, pupil-led approaches
* Track progress and provide feedback to Education Boutique and relevant stakeholders
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience teaching or tutoring Primary Literacy and Numeracy Functional Skills
* Expertise in trauma-informed teaching methods
* Experience working with pupils with PDA profiles
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
* Self-employed status and right to work in the UK
