We are seeking a full-time Senior Associate to join our Housing team in Birmingham. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality legal services related to shared ownership and outright sales on behalf of Housing Associations, developers, and other providers. The successful candidate will be part of a busy team and contribute to the growth and success of the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of Home Ownership Transactions, including new build sales (outright and shared ownership), set-ups, and after-sale transactions (e.g., RTB/RTA, lease extensions, auctions, and private treaty disposals).
* Ensure compliance with professional duties and internal procedures.
* Actively participate in business development initiatives and contribute to the team’s growth.
* Stay updated on legal developments relevant to housing and property law.
* Manage the billing process and achieve income targets.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance personal and team skills.
Essential Criteria:
* Qualified solicitor, CILEx, or Council for Licensed Conveyancers.
* Strong knowledge of working with housing associations in delivering affordable home ownership products and associated real estate work.
* Good communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
* Proven ability to manage a busy caseload and support junior team members.
Desirable Criteria:
* Knowledge of working with other providers, including investors and developers.
* Experience in site set-ups for new developments.
