Our client is a leading Technical services management consultancy, working in the Mechanical and electrical industry, supporting main contractors & developers on their M&E projects.
They are looking for an assistant technical services manager to join their team in the Manchester area.

Responsibilities
The ATSM will support the Senior Technical Services Manager / project manager & directors by performing a range of duties throughout the pre-construction, construction, and commissioning phases of projects.
The projects they work on are around £10m in value and typically in the commercial, retail, hospital & aviation space. Delivering fit out, installation & refurbishments across both mechanical and electrical.
The ideal candidate will have an M&E understanding and technical knowledge, with the capacity to organise & structure schedules.
Pre-Construction Responsibilities:
* Conduct site visits to verify tender details.
* Support MEP validation exercises and help compile validation reports.
* Assist with the following tasks:
* Review technical documentation and specifications from clients.
* Attend client site visits and interviews.
* Conduct financial analysis of sub-contractor quotes.
* Provide recommendations for M&E tenders.
* Help place sub-contractor orders in coordination with the project QS.
* Prepare procurement schedules and installation programmes.
* Oversee the M&E design process.
* Negotiate contracts with sub-contractors.
* Develop installation RAMS alongside MEP contractors.
Construction Phase Responsibilities:
* Update construction drawings to reflect on-site progress.
* Perform site MEP QA inspections.
* Mark up weekly MEP progress reports.
* Participate in weekly M&E meetings.
* Assist with M&E procurement.
* Coordinate new utility services (power, gas, water, telecoms).
* Use client document control systems (e.g., Conject, Viewpoint, Procore).
* Attend client progress meetings.
* Conduct M&E snagging and review subcontractor RAMS.
Commissioning Responsibilities:
* Support the management of the MEP commissioning process.
* Help develop MEP commissioning programmes.
* Coordinate MEP training for clients and facilities management.
* Facilitate client commissioning witnessing.
* Provide feedback on MEP operation and maintenance manuals.
