Job summary
Pay Per Session: £10,
4 to 6 sessions a week
The role suits both those looking for a more settled career path to those wanting to have some stability whilst planning their future. Each position is unique and we would like to invite GPs looking towards their future to have a discussion with us to determine the path that best suits you.
Working patterns are designed to allow flexibility and the development of specialist interests and/or a portfolio career.
Our standard GP clinical session is 18 appointments with a mix of book-on-the-day telephone slots, pre-bookable slots (patient choice of telephone or face-to-face), and eConsults. Each session has several slots blocked for use only by the GP if a telephone consultation needs to be converted to face-to-face.
We have one GP each day as Duty. They start the day with an empty template, which is populated with acute problems to telephone triage once all other on the day slots are full. The duty GP is usually supported by a Duty Nurse, who manages acute minor illness. The duty role is allocated pro rata to number of sessions worked and therefore would be usually less than once per week.
Prescription queries and acute requests are all managed by our pharmacy team.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
Sessions ideally 4-6. Days and sessions flexible upon discussion.
