Our client is delivering client critical works to major UK and European Projects, and this role in particular relates to a nuclear new build in the UK. We are seeking a HVAC Engineer to work as part of a team, providing technical and application support. This role will be based out of Bristol, 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Large scale new build industrial HVAC experience (design, install, ideally full lifecycle)
2. Assist with developing design criteria and defining requirements for the systems
3. Developing conceptual design and preliminary design documents
4. Completing calculations related to sizing and selecting systems and participating in the development of Air flow schematic
5. Duct and Instrumentation Diagrams, and general equipment arrangements.
What You Will Need:
1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or other engineering degree)
2. 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical HVAC design
3. Design of air handling systems (100% outside air, recirculating, exhaust systems, dust collection)
4. Ability to lead multiple mechanical and plumbing resources on larger capital projects
5. Knowledge of design codes and standards
6. Ability to work on-site in a team environment co-located with the customer
7. Adhere to schedule deadlines and budget limitations
