Platform Host (Train Dispatcher) Static - Future Roles
You will be working an average of 35 hours per week. Earliest shift times will start at 0500 am, lates 23.15pm and night shift 6.00am, including a combination of early, late, night and weekend.
You must be able to arrange your own transport to ensure timely arrival for early and late shifts. Full training and a uniform are provided upon joining.
Please note that applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
It is a requirement that candidates can reliably travel to and from their agreed booking location for the scheduled times.
Full uniform will be provided to ensure that you embrace our values as a brand.
The successful applicant will be required to attend a medical, as all offers are subject to passing a safety critical medical.
About the Role
The purpose of this role is to provide a safe environment whilst delivering effective customer service and seeking opportunities to enhance the customer experience at our station.
Duties include but are not limited to:
* Create a welcoming environment while providing pro-active assistance to customers on and off trains.
* Providing effective customer service in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak times.
* Support customers with mobility impairments to ensure a smooth journey.
* Collaborate with Drivers and Conductors to ensure smooth communication and service.
* Comply with safety regulations, reporting faults and hazards as necessary, as you will be responsible for the safe and punctual dispatch of trains. You'll be invited to a 5-day Dispatch course and subject to continual on the job assessment.
* Collaborate with other areas of the business when required to ensure operational efficiency, whilst providing support and assistance to customers during disruption.
