This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Assistant Psychologist to join our Community Eating Disorders Service for Children and Young People in East London (CEDS-CYP).
CEDS-CYP is a multidisciplinary team offering specialist assessment, treatment and support to young people under 18 who are experiencing an eating disorder. Our service covers City & Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets.
· Participate in appropriate protocol-driven clinical work with children and their families, in particular early intervention and group work, under the supervision of registered clinical psychologists.
· Participate in the multi-disciplinary assessment of CYP alongside
· To undertake basic physical health checks (e.g. height, weight) on which training is provided, to contribute to the team management of eating disorder-related risk.
· Prepare appropriate clinical documentation, including reports to be countersigned by a registered clinical psychologist
· Communicate across language and cultural barriers.
· Participate as a member of the CEDS-CYP, attend meetings as required, and carry out duties as requested by the post supervisor.
