We have a school in Plymouth that is seeking a passionate and skilled Photography Teacher to inspire students and develop their creative and technical skills in photography. The successful candidate will teach both traditional and digital photography techniques, encouraging artistic expression and critical thinking. This role begins April 2025. Photography Teacher Duties: Plan and deliver engaging photography lessons, covering composition, lighting, editing, and camera techniques. Teach both digital and film photography, including darkroom and post-production processes. Introduce students to photography history, styles, and contemporary practices. Encourage creativity and storytelling through visual imagery. Organise and curate student photography exhibitions and competitions. Maintain and manage photography equipment, software, and classroom resources. Assess student work and provide constructive feedback. Support extracurricular activities such as photography clubs and school projects. Ideal Photography Teacher: A degree in Photography, Fine Arts, Education, or a related field. A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent). Experience teaching photography at [secondary/college/university] level. Proficiency in using DSLR/mirrorless cameras, editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom), and studio lighting.
