The role holder is to aid the Academic Support Administrators, under the direction of the Academic Support & Project Co-ordinator and Academic Lead, to implement the highest standards of service to all staff and students within the School of Medicine. The role holder will assist in all aspects of admin support with emphasis on requisitioning, procurement and travel support. We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as Academic Support Assistant within our Academic Support Team, to support the delivery of an effective and efficient support team within in the School of Medicine.
Your priorities will include:
* Raise purchase orders using the University of Dundee purchasing system ensuring procurement procedures have been followed when required.
* Providing high level administrative support to Heads of Division
* Making travel arrangements for academic and research staff
* Provide a high level of support to School wide initiatives including Athena Swan
Who we're looking for:
You will have good communication skills and the ability to interact positively with people at all levels
* Enthusiastic self-starter
* Team player with a proactive approach, able to balance competing priorities under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of service
* Working knowledge of software packages including excel, word and OneUniversity.

The School of Medicine adopts a hybrid approach to working however successful applicants will be required to work on site for around 6 months in the first instance.
