We have an exciting opportunity for two Graduates to join our experienced and forward-thinking Gleeds Real Estate Tax team, with one position available in London and one in Manchester, to start from first quarter 2025.
Our Gleeds Property Tax team provides bespoke taxation allowances and insurance advisory services to a wide range of client sectors, including AI Data Centres, Film Studios, Commercial Offices, Build to Rent, Retail, Hotel & Leisure, Logistics and Distribution, Utilities, Telecoms, Defence & Healthcare.
Following the enhanced incentives introduced by the Chancellor in the Spring Budget 2023, there are substantial opportunities for the Gleeds Real Estate Tax team’s extensive and diverse client base, which include international and national clients, large corporates, investment funds to and high net worth individuals. The team has worked, and continue to work, on some of the UK’s iconic, flagship projects.
About this opportunity
Further to the continued success of the Gleeds Real Estate Tax team, we require two enthusiastic and progressive Graduates.
In this role you will support the Gleeds Real Estate Tax team in delivering taxation allowances and insurance services. Responsibilities include surveying commercial and residential properties around the UK and some EU countries, reviewing relevant contractual & legislative material, as well as analysing construction cost information.
In addition, your role will involve a focus on the optimisation of available tax reliefs and credits for our clients, which assist by retaining profits within a client’s organisation for further capital reinvestment, as well as enhancing their investment and property yields. This will also include providing tax planning and financial forecasts to support our clients with their project feasibility.
Furthermore, you will assist with developing bespoke templates and utilising our digital solutions, which document, analyse and track our client’s portfolio and programme expenditure.
Finally, the role includes structured training towards being a chartered surveyor with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). A supervisor and counsellor will be assigned as support towards your Assessment of Professional Competence.
About You
Who we are looking for:
* You will have a degree within Quantity Surveying ideally RICS accredited by August 2023. Other RICS accredited degrees or other real estate degrees will also be considered.
* Right to live and work in the UK.
* Clear and effective communication skills - both oral and written.
* Good organisational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changes.
* Sound problem solving, negotiating, financial management and numeracy skills.
* Good ICT skills, with a high level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Ability to work as part of a team.

* There is significant scope for the individual to grow and take their abilities and skills to the next level as you will be supported in achieving chartership in your chosen field.
