We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Sports Coachwho has experience ideally coaching Football and/or Basketball.
Working as the Sports Coach you will work with the wider team to plan, organise and deliver a range of high quality, accessible opportunities through sport and physical activity at the charity’s Community Hub.
As Sports Coach and through Football, Basketball and a range of other sporting activities will help increase positive behaviours and improve the health and confidence of young people.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Sports Coach include:
1. Provide, engaging and safe coaching activities and sessions, motivating and inspiring those participating to achieve their potential by setting goals, providing encouragement and giving regular feedback. This will include recording and monitoring attendance
2. Develop sport and physical activity sessions suitable for different age groups, encouraging feedback to ensure aims are met. This will include the completion of risk assessments
3. Support the wider team to ensure activities and tournaments are marketed and promoted to designated target groups
4. Deliver sports-based party packages, working with the wider team to ensure activities are safe and age appropriate
5. Work effectively as a team member, sharing information and supporting colleagues in delivering open days, events and projects such as ‘Holiday Hunger Schemes’ (this could include setting up/clearing spaces, supporting mealtimes or trips, providing first aid, managing lost property, dealing with parent queries)
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
6. Previous experience in a similar role. Any Football and/or Basketball coaching experience is highly desirable
7. Enthusiastic about all sports and promoting the health and wellbeing aspects of being fit and healthy to young people
8. Great communication skills
9. Encouraging with a positive outlook
