JOB TITLE: HR Advisor
RESPONSIBLE TO: Head of People
LOCATION: Peterborough, Bretton
TERMS: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 40 Hours per Week - 4 days in the office with 1 Day a week working from home.

Aims of position:
Our small HR team are looking for a HR Advisor to join them at our Peterborough site in Bretton. This is a high-volume generalist role, with an opportunity to get more involved over time to increase your skills in HR. This role is an ideal commute from Peterborough/Stamford/Bourne/The Deepings/surrounding areas.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
1. Assisting the Head of People with the day to day running of the HR Department at our Peterborough site.
2. Answering face to face, email and telephone HR related queries.
3. HR file compliance including filing and archiving.
4. Appraisal and probation tracking.
5. Inputting and keeping HR information up to date on the HR system.
6. To issue contract updates and variations to contract as required and directed by the Head of People.
7. To process resignations and chair exit interviews with staff.
8. To proactively contribute and support the team to continuously improve the service provided by the HR Department.
9. Booking meetings and note taking at meetings.
10. Dealing with and processing Right to works, DBS and Visas.
11. To undertake any other duties as reasonably required by management.
Skills and Experience:
1. A minimum of 3 years' experience working in HR.
2. Ideally CIPD level 5 qualified or willing to work towards or a degree in HR.
3. Ability to exercise discretion in dealing with confidential or sensitive matters.
4. Passion for HR and people.
5. Flexibility/adaptability with excellent team working skills.
6. Excellent note taking and record keeping.
7. Strong attention to detail skills.
8. This is a hybrid role working 4 days a week onsite in our HR office and 1 day working from home. You will be working mostly alongside the Head of People, HR Administrator, Wellbeing Partner and Recruitment team but there will be occasions when you are onsite alone.
