We are recruiting for a well-known organisation who specialises in finding suitable accommodation for vulnerable adults, including people with learning disabilities. This is a temporary-to-permanent position, ideal for experienced candidates seeking long-term employment with a supportive team.
Your new role
As a Tenancy Officer, you will be based in a large property in Cheltenham, working Monday to Friday alongside a team of support officers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient delivery of housing management services. This includes enabling vulnerable people with low to medium support needs to sustain a tenancy and achieve independent living. Conducting property inspections, managing rent and service charge arrears, and addressing any issues related to anti-social behaviour, safeguarding, and tenancy breaches. Additionally, your role will involve promoting positive relationships within the local community and with care provider partners.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of responsive repairs and high standards of property upkeep.
2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports.
3. Conduct property inspections and prepare homes for new tenants.
4. Provide administrative support for Housing Benefit applications.
5. Act as the primary point of contact for both tenants and local partners.
Working Hours and Benefits
1. Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
2. Competitive hourly rate of £14.56.
3. 32 days of annual leave (paid).
What you'll need to succeed
1. You will require a full driving licence and access to a vehicle with business cover.
2. An Enhanced DBS.
3. Preferably you will have a CIH qualification or 2+ years of relevant experience.
4. Excellent time management, communication, problem-solving, and people skills.
5. Discretion when handling sensitive information.
